Showtime Challenge follows a format where we pick a musical, a charity and a theatre, audition a cast who have just eight weeks to learn the score independently, gather the cast and team for the first time on a Friday night, rehearse for 48 hours, and produce a polished performance on the Sunday evening to thousands of people. No easy task, then! Find out how it all started here.
Crazy For You comes after the successes of Me and My Girl (London Palladium, 2008), Sweet Charity (Theatre Royal Drury Lane, 2006) and Into The Woods (New Theatre, Oxford, 2004). All proceeds from each show go to charity – so far we raised more than £50,000 for charities such as the British Heart Foundation, the Anthony Nolan Trust and the Oxford Children's Hospital.
'My first reaction to the fact that you’re going to do a show in 48 hours, well a play would be difficult, but a musical - I’m absolutely astounded.' Dame Judi Dench
'Oh how wildly deranged you are even to try. Oh how I admire you. Oh what are you thinking of? Oh, you wild, wonderful, fond and foolish people, the very best of luck to you.' Stephen Fry
